| Description: | Situated in picturesque rural Hiratsuka city in Kanagawa prefecture Japan, with sweeping views of distant Mount Fuji and Mount Oyama, Mukyoho is a modern form of Mahayana Buddhism which is strongly influenced by the pragmatic teachings of warrior-Zen Master Suzuki Shosan Roshi
Mukyoho is a distinctly modern interpretation of the Buddha's teachings. Practitioners enjoy a modern and pragmatic approach to practising Buddhism while retaining a strong connection to centuries-old Japanese Mahayana Buddhism, yet free of the superstitions that have built up around it's practice in Japan.
Bringing the teachings of pragmatic Buddhism into the 21st century, Mukyoho operates under its own authority and is autonomous and self-directing in its organisation. Mukyoho is a non-profit organisation Our primary aim is to share the practice of meditation, put into practice the principles of Buddhism, and explore the fullness of human potential physically, mentally, and spiritually, free of supernatural beliefs. Mukyoho offers instruction in the practices and teachings of Buddhism through physical exercise and provides a community that supports practice in everyday life. |
