| Description: | Tara Mandala is a nonprofit religious organization, which supports spiritual activities oriented toward teachings of innate wisdom, specifically in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. Our principal purpose is the development of the Dzogchen tradition in the lineage of Chogyal Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche. We are a repository for the preservation and development of Buddhist traditions and The Tara Mandala Retreat Center on our wild and beautiful land in southwestern Colorado is operated for personal and group retreats. We provide an environment conducive to in-depth meditation experience similar to that which existed in Tibet, where it was possible to experience profound silence and vast space. The retreat center is nonsectarian and open to all those wishing to experience hermitage. We sponsor teachers of various contemplative traditions in the spirit of Rime (without limits). |
