The residing Bhikshuni is from Iowa, western and ordained in the Triple Platform under the upadyaya Ven. Pu Miao of Yuan Heng Temple in Taiwan under the dharmagupta lineage (originating from India through Sri Lanka then to China) and trained in bhikshuni precepts by Acaryani Ven. Chao Hui. She keeps in contact with both Mahayana and Theravada monastics of good repute.
